Tipsy Treacle Tart

Syrup 1Syrup 2From the Lyle’s Golden Cookbook, a mere whippersnapper of book from the archive dating back a mere thirty years comes this recipe for a traditional favourite at this time of year, the treacle tart.

In line with the product the photography is of chintzy style with a strong golden glow but the recipes are nicely presented and clear.

An interesting twist can be achieved by replacing the breadcrumbs with cake crumbs, gingerbread say, that you may have to hand.

I find that coffee and walnut works particularly well for me!
