Each of the 36 English counties, 37 if you divide Hampshire and The Isle Of Wight or 38 if you include London as a county, have their own unique history and dialect. Each has its own flag, it’s own coat of arms and its own pride.
Each county also has it’s own traditional foods based local form and custom. Being an island, fish is common and as an agricultural nation farmed beef, pork, lamb, chicken and eggs are generally available ‘locally’ wherever you may find yourself.

A click on any of the above links will take you to a post setting out a potted history of the named county and its ‘attractions’ along with a few local recipes where available.
As I gather more bits and pieces, recipes, county foibles etc. I shall add them on this blog and link all the diverse elements into some kind of whole.
