Advertising is one of the oldest forms of art known to man. Whether it be cave paintings depicting game roaming the wilds as in ‘here be bison’ or an image using subliminal and cerebral imagesintended to sell you the most modern gadget or product!
Here are a few I have gleaned from the book that may be of interest in the form of an ‘ad break’ (An occasional series of such ephemera)
Some of the wording may sound archaic in these times of mass media sales campaigns but it is the language of the age and as such wonderfully refreshing.
The expressions of fulfilment or satisfaction on the faces of the recipients of such products is as relevant now as it was then.
Fulfilling a need, whether known or unknown, is the main purpose of all such informative pieces.
